To determine the ramp length you need, divide the rise height (in inches) by the slope ratio. Here are some general guidelines:

• 4.8° slope (ADA compliant): rise ÷ 1

• 7° slope: rise ÷ 1.5

• 10° slope: rise ÷ 2

• 12° slope: rise ÷ 2.4

• 15° slope (unoccupied): rise ÷ 3

Example: A 12″ rise at a 7° slope = 8′ ramp (12 ÷ 1.5 = 8)
